Founded in 1972, The BroadHollow Player's mission is to cultivate, promote, foster, and develop the understanding and love of the theatrical arts within the Long Island community. We fulfill our mission each year by providing a wide variety of arts programming consisting of diverse programs that includes quality family entertainment and children's theatre, full scale musical productions, innovative interpretations of classic dramas and comedies and the staging of rarely seen new work. BroadHollow also provides theatrical education through a variety of programs, workshops, and classes for all ages, including a full length summer theatre camp and a wide range of classes available at our dance studio. BroadHollow Players is seriously committed to the schools on Long Island with a quality Educational Theatre program for over 30 years. In addition to thought provoking educational works we provide thoroughly researched study guides and post show Q&A sessions for the students. BroadHollow strives to continue to be recognized as a significant cultural asset to Long Island, providing a subscription mode, community partnerships, and audience outreach programs that cultivate loyal audiences and proudly develops local talent.

A Year with Frog & Toad

Arnold Lobel's well-loved characters hop from the page to the stage in Robert and Willie Reale's musical, A Year With Frog And Toad. The musical remains true to the spirit of the original stories as it follows two great friends, the cheerful and popular Frog and the rather grumpy Toad, through four fun-filled seasons. Waking from hibernation in the spring, they proceed to plant gardens, swim, rake leaves and go sledding, learning life lessons along the way, including a most important one about friendship and rejoicing in the attributes that make each of us different and special. A score that bubbles with melody and wit, it's jazzy upbeat sound is a perfect match for the hopping, crawling and flying denizens that inhabit Frog and Toad's world.
